Technology Readiness

Flight missions such as Orbital Express designed to validate a set of new, simple satellite servicing standards, also serve as an enabler for servicing non-standard and unprepared clients. MDA’s robotic sensors and tools support non-cooperative servicing missions. Our targetless rendezvous/survey LIDAR system, currently operational on the USAF XSS-11 mission, or its Self-Adaptive Auxilliary Robotic Hand (”SARAH”), can be added to the Orbital Express robotic system to enable this class of satellite servicing mission.
