Test Facilities

MDA has state-of-the-art test and integration facilities, including an 18 m ´ 5 m planar near-field range, a compact RF test range featuring a 6 m ´ 6 m ´ 5 m quiet zone, two thermal PIM anechoic chambers, and other planar scanner and far-field RF test ranges. Environmental test facilities include: EMC, thermal, thermal vacuum, and vibration. MDA has over 2,140 m² of class 100,000 clean rooms. These facilities are complemented by several large and easily accessible RF and environmental test ranges at the Canadian Space Agency’s David Florida Laboratories in Ottawa , to endow EMS with a spacecraft antenna testing infra-structure which is one of the best in the world.
