MDA's RADARSAT-2 information to support China's natural resource management
Richmond, B. C. - MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX:MDA),a provider of essential information solutions,
announced today that it has signed a CA$3 million agreement with the Center for
Earth Observation and Digital Earth (CEODE), an agency within the Chinese Academy
of Sciences to extend its ability to use RADARSAT-2 an additional three years. This
information is used by many agencies within the Chinese government to support a
variety of applications that include natural resource management, land management,
disaster management, subsidence monitoring, and maritime monitoring.
