MDA Contributes To Three New Communication Satellites
Richmond, B.C. - MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA), a provider of essential information solutions,
announced today that it has been awarded three contracts totalling approximately
$18 Million CAD, to provide advanced technology solutions for three new telecommunications
spacecraft. These solutions will be provided for a spacecraft being built by Space
Systems/Loral, and for the Astra 3B and Amazonas-2 spacecraft being built by Astrium
SAS.
MDA's solutions will allow customers to transmit communications signals at different
frequencies to ground stations and directly to home users.
