MD Robotics Receives $1.1m for Continued Support of ISS Ground Operations
BRAMPTON, Ontario - MD Robotics, a subsidiary of MacDonald Dettwiler and Associates
(TSE:MDA), has been awarded a $1.1 million contract by the Canadian Space Agency
(CSA) for flight operations support of Canadarm2 and future Canadian robotics elements
that will be installed on the International Space Station (ISS).
The MD Robotics team will provide analysis and mission critical data for all on-orbit
operations including pre-mission planning, mission execution and post flight activities
involving the Mobile Servicing System, Canada's contribution to the ISS.
The contract runs until March 2002 with an option for an additional year. This is
a continuation of work MD Robotics has provided to the CSA for the past three years
in Saint-Hubert, Quebec.
