MDA Receives Additional Funding Supporting Space Station Robotics
BRAMPTON, Ont..... MacDonald Dettwiler and Associates (TSX:MDA) announced today
that the company's subsidiary, MD Robotics, has received $3.5 million (Cdn.) contract
amendment from the Canadian Space Agency to perform additional engineering services
on the Mobile Servicing System (MSS), Canada's contribution to the International
Space Station. This work will be carried out between now and May 2003.
The contract increases the engineering services currently being provided by MD Robotics
to the Mobile Servicing System (MSS) sustaining engineering program to include spares,
repair and overhaul and operational support.

the tremendous support that the Canadian Space Agency has provided," said Chris
Woodland, vice president of government programs at MD Robotics. "As the International
Space Station continues to expand and operate we look forward to applying our advanced
robotics expertise to support this unique laboratory and exploration of the new
frontiers beyond."
