MDA to provide advanced technology solution
Richmond, B.C. - MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX:MDA), a provider of essential information solutions,
announced today that it has won a multi-million dollar contract to provide four
advanced technology solutions for Space Systems/Loral Inc. The solutions will be
integrated into the ViaSat-1 satellite, expected to be the world's highest capacity
broadband satellite once launched in 2011.
ViaSat-1 will provide simultaneous data transmission and reception over the United
States and Canada.
