These technologies are ready for commercialization and have generated strong interest from a variety of end-users across many markets.

Instant Scene Modeler (iSM) is a simple to use and inexpensive method of creating photo-realistic 3D models of any environment. This device, based on the automatic integration of multiple stereo camera views, is extremely versatile. Customers for this device include mining companies to map ore cavities in underground mines and the military, who will use iSM to provide visual information and decision making for military autonomous vehicle navigation. The 3D models created by iSM can be exported to computer drawing and 3D animation packages.

The patented Ice-Cam detects ice on all surfaces including roads, runways and aircraft. Using the principle of spectral reflectivity, the Ice-Cam detects and identifies the unique spectral signature of ice. NASA will soon test the Ice-Cam's ability to detect ice on the Space Shuttle's center tank. The Federal Aviation Authority and Transport Canada are part of a group that will review the Ice-Cam's ability to detect ice on aircraft before take-off. The same technology could also be placed on automobiles as an added safety measure during winter driving conditions.
