Junior Engineer/MTS - Software For more than three decades, human space flight has been supported by advanced robotics developed by MDA. We have combined complex robotics with control software to develop the Space Shuttle's Canadarm and the Mobile Servicing System for the International Space station. You will have the opportunity to work on space based and terrestrial robotic system development as well as related technologies. The candidates will implement a variety of languages working with Human Factors, 3D graphics engines and man machine interfaces as well as computer to computer interfaces such as TCP/IP, Can bus, Rs232 and 1553. Assisting in simulation and analysis using tools such as Matlab and various real time OS, Vxworks, Tornado and embedded XP. Qualifications and Experience: Interested candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Software / Electrical Engineering and hands on experience through an internship or co-op experience. Extensive hardware background, visions systems, FPGA and microcontroller knowledge is an asset. Working knowledge of the following languages: C, C++, Ada, Java and other scripting languages as well as familiarity with OO techniques, UML, SysML and documentation (SRS, SDD, VDD, STR, STD) are required. You should have solid interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written English communication skills. You excel in a team environment and are comfortable in decision-making and problem solving. Through your academic training, you have the technical expertise to succeed. All candidates must be able to obtain both CGP and ITAR clearance.
